Pro Life on Campus at the University of Georgia
One of our favorite places to carry the pro-life message is the University of Georgia. We always get huge crowds, and today was no different.
The center-piece and magnet for our presentation was obviously the Pro Life on Campus GAP display on Tate Plaza. But that was just the beginning.
Add to that a poll table, in this case staffed by Toby Tatum of Georgia Right to Life. Using a simple question, “Should abortion remain legal?”, Toby was able to engage a steady stream of students
Add to that a table-top display by the Athens Pregnancy Center. Add to that a table-top display by Deeper Still, a post-abortion counseling ministry.
Add to that our Free Speech Board, where students are invited to write their comments. We (along with other students) write responses. For example, a student wrote, “Don’t judge people! You never know why they decided abortion was right for them.” I responded, “Let’s see if this works … ‘Don’t judge people. You never know why they decided owning slaves was right for them.”
Catherine Davis of Georgia Right to Life, Director of Minority Outreach at GRTL, drew huge crowds as she described how abortion providers target minoirity communities.
Pro Life on Campus at Kennesaw State University
Great day at Kennesaw State University. This is the 3rd largest university in all of Georgia. We were priviledged to be joined by several of our friends from Georgia Right to Life who joined us for the entire day.
Pro Life Training Academy at the University of Georgia
It’s Sunday afternoon and we are conducting our Pro Life Training Academy (PLTA) at the University of Georgia (UGa). We are encouraged by the students and community members who are attending this training.
PLTA students learn how to articulate and respectfully defend the pro-life position. On Wednesday and Thursday, PLTA students will have a unique opportunity for on-the-job training by helping staff our GAP display at Tate Plaza in the heart of the UGa campus.
In addition to training pro-life advocates, the PLTA seeks to unite pro-lifers behind common goals of education, training, and outreach. We appreciate so much the efforts of the Georgia Right to Life, Athens Area Right to Life, UGa Students for Life, the Athens Pregnancy Center, and the University Church (in Athens) to make this event a huge success!

Pro Life Training Academy at Kennesaw State University
It’s Saturday morning and we are conducting our Pro Life Training Academy (PLTA) at Kennesaw State University (KSU). It’s a huge success. We’re almost standing-room-only and people are still pouring in!
Today, PLTA students (ranging in age from teenager to granny) are learning how to articulate and respectfully defend the pro-life position. Role-playing will prepare students for real encounters.
On Monday and Tuesday, PLTA students will have a unique opportunity for on-the-job training by helping staff our GAP display at Kennesaw State.
In addition to training pro-life advocates, the PLTA seeks to unite pro-lifers behind common goals of education, training, and outreach. We appreciate so much the efforts of the Georgia Right to Life, the KSU Pro-Life Ambassadors, and Cobb Pregnancy Services to make this event a huge success!

Hitler finds out the GOP has retaken the House
This is too funny.
BTW, UT fans may note that Hitler’s respons to the GOP takeover was uncannily similar to his reaction when Lane Kiffin bolted for USC, but I don’t want to get into that.
Pro-Life Politicians Sweep Statewide Offices in Georgia
Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) has announced that of the 104 candidates they endorsed for the November 2 elections, a whopping 90 of them won their elections. This achievement is made even more remarkable when you consider the very strict endorsement criteria employed by GRTL.
All 9 of the statewide constitutional offices on the ballot won their races. They were:
- Governor – Nathan Deal
- Lt. Governor – Casey Cagle
- Secretary of State – Brian Kemp
- Attorney General – Sam Olens
- State School Superintendent – John D. Barge
- Commissioner of Insurance – Ralph T. Hudgens
- Commissioner of Agriculture – Gary Black
- Commissioner of Labor – Mark Butler
- Public Service Commission, District 2 – Tim Echols
On average, there was a full 15% advantage given to GRTL-endorsed candidate over the next nearest pro-abortion candidate in each prospective statewide race.
We congratulate GRTL on their victories!
Breaking News: Republicans gain 14 seats in Tennessee House, 1 in Senate
This ain’t on any of the wire services. I got it from the very top; you saw it here first. Republicans have picked up a whopping 14 seats in the Tennessee House of Representatives. Only a couple of weeks ago, a member of the Tennessee House told me they “might pick up as many as 4.” Wow. Current score is 64-34-1.
Republicans also picked up one seat in the Tennessee Senate to improve their advantage to 20-13.
Republicans in this State have earned the trust of our citizens by moving forward with a common-sense conservative agenda over the last several years: holding the line on spending, balancing the budget, just saying “no” to a state income tax, protecting the Second Amendment, moving an Amendment that will overturn a Supreme Court decision that prevents common-sense pro-life legislation, etc. This is an example for Republicans all over the country.
Abortion photos save three more babies and moms
Got this message from Mary Jost, Director of the Focus Pregnancy Help Center in Rochester, NY:
I am the director of Focus Pregnancy Help Center in Rochester, NY. We are two doors down from Planned Parenthood. A small remnant of us go and protest in front of their place with your graphic pictures. Girls have come up to us and said they changed their minds because they saw your graphic images. I am convinced that showing the pictures is extremely effective in saving babies lives.
Last week, three girls carried their babies to term because they saw the graphic pictures.
Met Samuel Armas last night
Great time at the Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) REACH fundraising dinner last night in Atlanta. I’m in Georgia this week laying the groundwork for our Pro Life Training Academy (PLTA) and Pro Life on Campus (GAP) events at the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University in November. GRTL is partnering with CBR on all of this work. GRTL President Dan Becker featured our cooperative efforts in his remarks last night.
Also in attendance was Samuel Armas and his family. You may remember when Samuel exploded on the national scene back in 1999, when he reached out of his mother’s womb and grabbed the finger of his surgeon. The photo became an instant sensation.
Now Samuel is 10 years old. He and his parents were in attendance last night, and I was thrilled to shake Samuel’s hand. (Wouldn’t you know it, I shook the wrong hand—the un-famous one—but what the heck.) Fox News recently ran a story on Samuel, who is now 10 years old!
Abortion photos on TV in Washington, DC
Missy Smith’s Congressional campaign is using CBR abortion photos in her advertisements. Because Federal campaign laws prohibit censorship of advertisements for President, Senate, and US House campaigns, the TV stations must run her ads, but only if she can pay the cost! She asks your help in paying for one of these ads! Click here to help!
Best political ad of the year?
I might have to move to Florida.

Fools rush in where Europe rushes out
Great op-ed piece by Jonah Goldberg.
As far as I am aware, no one has asked President Obama a simple question: If your philosophy is so great, how come the countries that have embraced it for generations are so much poorer than we are?
Nor have they asked: If guaranteed health care for everyone will make us so much more “competitive,” how come we’ve been doing so much better than our “competitors” who already have socialized medicine, high tax rates, and lavish pensions?
Pro Life on Campus at Obama’s Rally at Ohio State
Pro lifers use CBR’s “Choice” signs to greet Pres. Obama’s ralliers at Ohio State University. You can do this at a campus near you! Click here to buy 4 “Choice” signs and display them all you want!
If you can’t do this yourself, then please help us do it with your gift of $10 a month (click here). Your $10 will help take our bigger Pro Life on Campus display to 20 major universities next year. One-time gifts (click here) buy new signs and even a large-screen TV for outdoor use.
Many students who see these signs are hard-core pro-choicers, but not all. Many young people hear only one view on campus, but these pictures tell the whole story. Many will change their minds.
