Stop pro-abortion ObamaCare

First, support CBR’s effort to pressure Blue Dogs to reject ObamaCare with abortion funding. To support, click here. Please do it today; CBR’s trucks are standing by, but I can’t drive them without fuel. One tank of fuel costs $300. Designate for Reproductive Choice Campaign or just e-mail me at Fletcher@ProLifeOnCampus.com.

Second, make 30 phone calls. Please call these 30 Blue Dogs whose votes are up for grabs. Don’t just call your Congressman; call all of them. Source: DickMorris.com. Tell them that the current Senate version and the President’s version both fund abortion, and you oppose funding abortion.

Turning the World Upside Down (Poland)

Abortion Billboard During Rush Hour (Poland)

Abortion Billboard During Rush Hour (Poland)

We just got this message from Mariusz Dzierzawski of the Right to Live Foundation in Poland:

I had been involved in pro-life activity in Poland since 2000. After some years I was a little frustrated due to lack effect of our activity. In December 2005 Gregg Cunningham of CBR came to Poland. I attended meeting with him. His speech was clear and moving, although the proposals were astonishing.

After some weeks of thinking, our group decided to follow the way of CBR. The effects are also astonishing. Number of abortion supporters in Poland has dropped rapidly, number of abortion opponents grow rapidly. Today is real possibility to ban abortion in Poland totally. I hope we will exploit the possibility. We are big debtors of CBR.

CBR Hounds Blue Dogs On ObamaCare

The Dem leadership is ratcheting up it’s effort to force ObamaCare into law and pay for every abortion with your money.  Our Blue Dog project has forced several Blue Dog Dems to publicly pledge to oppose any health care bill that fails to prohibit public funding for abortion.

Although successful at getting public declarations from some of the Blue Dogs, there are others whose votes are still up for grabs.  We must force the issue.

Stopping ObamaCare will take all of us.  Please click here to help.  I absolutely need your help.  Your gift of $300 would purchase a tank of fuel to drive this truck.  Your gift of $1,000 would buy fuel for a whole week of driving.

Knoxville City of Life Declaration

Neighborhood residents sign the Declaration and volunteer for the 40 Days for Life prayer vigil.

People who attended the ProCET Rally for Life in East Knoxville were asked to sign the City of Life Declaration that is being circulated by Matthew Parsons.  Parsons said that “the Declaration has been designed to bring people together for the common goal of making Knoxville a city where not only life, but abundant life can be achieved regardless of one’s race, class, or even one’s status as born or unborn.”  The text of the Declaration is as follows:

We, the citizens and leaders of the Knoxville community, stand together in unity to oppose the presence of Planned Parenthood and the other abortion providers in our city.  We commit to defend and promote a city of life.  Today, we say to abortion providers, “Not in this Community … Not in any Community.”

Planned Parenthood: Secrecy, Deception, and Outright Lies

Steve Arnold of ProCET

Steve Arnold of ProCET

Here is a copy of Steve Arnold’s remarks at the ProCET rally in East Knoxville on February 20. Steve did a great job of documenting the way that Planned Parenthood does business. He described the secrecy that surrounded PP’s purchase of property on Cherry Street, the deception that is an integral part of PP’s “education” programs, and the documented cases of PP’s failures to report evidence of sexual abuse of minor children.

Steve’s conclusion:

Planned Parenthood is an organization built on secrecy, deception and outright lies. All through its history, and all across the country, Planned Parenthood has consistently demonstrated that truth does not matter, parent’s rights are not legitimate, and child predators are to be protected.

City of Life Declaration is Announced

City of Life Declaration is Announced

Knoxville, Tenn./Feb 20, 2010 — East Knoxville rallied Saturday afternoon against the relocation of the Planned Parenthood (PP) abortion clinic to Cherry Street. A crowd of about 200 gathered at the True Vine Baptist Church, just across the street from the clinic. The rally was organized by the ProLife Coalition of East Tennessee (ProCET) and a number of East Knoxville churches.

Pastor Sharon Welch of New Living Faith Community Church delivered the opening prayer and call to action. ProCET spokesperson Lisa Morris highlighted PP’s founding, history, and current status as America’s largest abortion provider. Morris described PP founder Margaret Sanger as a devout racist who implemented a sterilization program, called the “Negro Project,” which targeted African American women and others she deemed as “undesirable.”

Morris then read a statement of support from Dr. Alveda King, a pro-life activist who is also the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Dr. King stated that even though African-Americans make up 12% of the population, a full 35% of aborted babies are Black. According to Dr. King, 78% of PP clinics are located in minority communities, and African-Americans are the only minority in America whose population is declining.

Steve Arnold of ProCET described PP’s deceptions relative to the purchase of the property on Cherry Street.  Arnold said that this was part of a pattern of PP deception, citing their practice of providing abortions to children without parental consent, their educational programs that encourage deviant sexual behavior, and even their pattern of covering up the sexual abuse of under-age children by adult males.

Pastor Jean Delaney of announced a prayer vigil to be held in front of the PP clinic every Friday during Lent. Those interested in participating were directed to go to www.40daysknoxville.com/vigil or call 567-1245.

Other speakers included Pastor Barbara McKinney of Clayborn Temple AME Church, Pastor Johnny Watson of AME Bethel Church, Pastor Joe Maddox of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Andy Rittenhouse of First Baptist Concord, Monsignor Xavier Mankel of the Knoxville Diocese, and Pastor Joseph Parker of Campbell Chapel AME Church (Pulaski). Statements were read to the crowd from Gubernatorial candidates Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey and US Rep. Zach Wamp.

Following the prepared remarks, most of the crowd walked over to the clinic, stood on the sidewalks along both Cherry Street and Washington Avenue, and prayed silently for about 30 minutes. Many held signs of protest, e.g., “Planned Parenthood – Bad for Babies” and “Women Do Regret Abortion.”

Following the brief prayer vigil, a smaller group assembled inside the True Vine Baptist Church to preview the new Maafa 21 documentary, which details PP’s racist history. Pastor Parker also showed a portion of the movie “Tilly,” which is based on the Frank Peretti book of the same name.

My interview with Barbara Dooley (regarding the Tebow Super Bowl advertisement) is up.  I taped this interview a couple of weeks ago, but it was actually played today.

Like Jihadists, Planned Parenthood Uses Women and Children as Human Shields

As we were erecting our Genocide Awareness Project (GAP) abortion photos on the campus of UC Berkeley in October, a professor raged up to our Director and hissed “Shame on you for making women feel guilty about their abortions.”  When our trucks drove through State College, Pennsylvania, in 2004 The Daily Collegian ran a story quoting Planned Parenthood’s argument that we shouldn’t show pictures of what their abortion clinics do to unborn children because it upsets born children.  “Paula Nossek, health center manager for Planned Parenthood … said she thought the group’s tactics were both ‘tasteless’ and ‘cowardly,’ and she questioned the authenticity of the images.”  She added, “‘If they were decent human beings, they would be sick letting kids see it ….’”  She isn’t sick killing these babies, but we should be sick showing them.

Planned Parenthood’s hiding behind women and children (as a means of stopping us from exposing the horror of their abortions) is conceptually similar to a common hostage-taking tactic employed by Islamist fighters.  The BBC recently ran a story that described the use of civilians as human shields.  The lead paragraph reads, “Gen. Mohiudin Ghori said his soldiers had seen Taliban fighters placing women and children on the roofs of buildings and firing from behind them.”

Campus Debate at U of Central Florida

CBR has wrapped up two days of GAP at the University of Central Florida.  Story here.  This project wins hearts, changes minds, and saves lives everywhere we take it.  Here’s proof!

CBR Poland Billboard Campaign Links Abortion to Nazi Occupation

Poland Bilboard

Poland Billboard Links Abortion to Nazi Occupation

A planned CBR Poland billboard campaign will remind citizens that Hitler introduced abortion for Polish women on March 9, 1943.  Coincidently, the campaign will be in full swing by March 8, which  is a special day for feminists in Poland.  Each year during this season, they organize ‘Manifa’ marches and demand abortion without limits.  Story here.

Pro-Life Students Get Their Voices Back at the University of Florida

As GAP packs up and moves on to the University of Central Florida, I wanted to share with you some more of the coverage in the University of Florida Independent Alligator. Here is the obligatory rant from the Editorial Board. Our Florida Director responded.

Add this column and this one, it is clear to see that there is no balance on the student paper. That is why our work on campus is so important. Feminists for Life reports that women leaving high school are pro-life by a margin of 47% to 37%. When they leave college, they are pro-choice by a margin of 73% to 24%. Male attitudes are similar. One big reason: pro-life students and faculty have no voice.

The pro-life faculty teach business, math, engingeering (hmm, the logical disciplines), where the subject of abortion never comes up. On the other hand, pro-choice faculty teach sociology, psychology, journalism, etc., where they get multiple opportunities to inject pro-abortion propaganda.

Pro-life students study engineering, agriculture, etc.; whereas pro-choice students study, among other things, journalism. That’s why there is no pro-life voice at the Independent Alligator.

After a few months of this, the freshman pro-lifers at the U of Florida start to get the message, “Sit down and shut up.” When we bring GAP, we help pro-life students get their voices back.

Campus Outreach Continues at the University of Florida

GAP at University of Florida

GAP at University of Florida

“Hundreds of students lost their appetites when they walked past the pictures of bloody fetuses displayed on the Reitz Union North Lawn and the Plaza of the Americas Monday.” So reported The Independent Alligator (IA) at the University of Florida. Story here.

IA columnist Paul Murty provides the obligatory editorial rebuttal to GAP. You may add your own comments to both the story and the editorial.

Murty, like many abortion apologists, insists on his own definition of genocide. Like the Turks, Nazis, segregationists, and others before him, Murty just wants a better society. It’s OK because his victims, after all, are subhuman. Then he plays the intolerance card, which is almost comical. He believes the University should be intolerant of anybody he deems to be intolerant, which is the same as anybody who disagrees with him. Mr. Murty, if abortion is just another “choice”, then why do pictures of it make you so angry?

Murty may ignore our message, but thousands don’t. Note the adopted baby pictured in the photo above (GAP sign on bottom row). That baby’s mom saw the GAP signs at the University of Tennessee and changed her mind.

If abortion truly is the holocaust of our time, please help us win hearts, change minds, and save lives on campus.
